About BattleCat Coffee East Asheville

Specialty coffees and scratch made baked goods and powerful wifi and comfy seats

Located at 885 Tunnel Rd, Asheville, NC 28805, BattleCat Coffee East Asheville operates as a coffee shop serving Asheville in North Carolina. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.

Coffee in the United States is served by three kinds of places: national chains with drive-thrus and mobile ordering, independent neighborhood cafes that double as a workspace or a meeting spot, and specialty shops that roast their own beans or buy single-origin lots and brew them by pour-over, espresso or cold brew. Most open between 6 and 7 a.m. on weekdays, slightly later on weekends, and the busiest hour is the commute rush before 9. A drip coffee runs a few dollars, espresso drinks and specialty pours more, and tipping a dollar or a percentage on the card reader is customary but not required. Nearly every cafe offers free Wi-Fi, though some limit laptop seating at peak times or on weekends, and outlets are often the scarce resource.

The business lists hours on 7 days of the week. Typical hours are 7 am–6 pm. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. You can reach BattleCat Coffee East Asheville at +15050486; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions.

Customers rate it 4.8 out of 5 on Google across 96 reviews, placing it among the better-regarded coffee shops in Asheville.

Asheville is in North Carolina, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. Traffic in Asheville peaks on weekday mornings and afternoons, so allow extra time then. Addresses read from the street number up to the city, state abbreviation and five-digit ZIP code; the map link on this page shows the exact spot.

We love this community coffee shop! The ambience, service, and quality is excellent. I also love that they sell local art. 10/10!

I had breakfast with my mother who is currently in a wheelchair. The barista was very friendly, and the drinks were delicious, as well as the bagels, including the vegan cream cheese! The atmosphere was warm, casual and quiet, which is exactly what we were looking for. They also had a great selection of local goodies, like local art, jewelry and more. If I vacationed in Asheville again, I would choose to eat here :)

I stopped in here to grab some fuel for our drive back down to FL after being in Asheville a few days. Food: -my partner enjoyed the Chai Latte -trying the seasonal ube iced matcha latte was a great choice, I had it with oat milk and it was delicious -the MOISTEST banana bread I have ever had oh my gosh it was so good and I will be dreaming of it until the next time I can visit -cheddar jalapeΓ±o biscuit slapped as well Service: -the barista was very kind and made great conversation while they rung up my order and started preparing it; loved your style!! -even with just one person working, and someone else ordering after me, service was quick and quality Atmosphere: -loved seeing people's art on the walls and shelves for sale -great community board with events -plenty of cozy spaces to sit with friends, and loved the bar area where you could sit and work -overall vibes were great- if I lived here I would be coming in the hang out regularly!

Little coffee shop with a 70s decor vibe, which was rather comforting. I was able to find FREE parking, unlike downtown coffee shops, although they share the building with two other businesses, so parking can be difficult. Ordered the decaf latte, which was very good, and prices were reasonable. Found this on my last day in Asheville, which was a bummer because I would have come here a lot more.

I stopped by the new BattleCat Coffee in East Asheville after visiting their West Asheville location several times, and I really liked it. The space has a fun, quirky vibe that feels true to the original but with a fresh setup. I’ve always appreciated how that locations support local artists with fun, creative art on the walls. My latte was great, smooth and well made, and the menu has a few straightforward choices with vegan options. The staff were friendly, and it’s a comfortable spot to sit with a laptop or catch up with friends. Parking is a little tight, and the place still feels like it’s finding its rhythm, but overall it’s a great addition to East Asheville.
